Where can I find more information about them? Namely the dimensions of them. The most common color pattern seems to be white then red. But I can’t dig up any info on the length and width of it. I’m guessing maybe 10' long, but I can’t confirm it. Thanks in advance oppo!

It varies heavily from track to track and if anything, it’s probably down to whatever the track designers had in mind. The FIA dont publish any specific guidelines for curbing or runoffs in their track grading licensing either but instead base their ratings on general safety and tech accommodations.

But yeah, 8-10in seems like a good starting point. At least before you take into consideration sausage curbs or the even thinner ones.

That makes sense, as I did find out that the colors are up to the track designer, and aren't regulated.

Hence Spa has red and yellow and I think Oscherschleben (sp?) in Germany has white and blue.

I need to get out more :(

Monza uses the colours of the Italian flag ;)

Thruxton does the same w/Union Jack colors.

I think 12 inches (30cm) wide is pretty narrow. I wouldn't be surprised to find them 24 inches wide (61 cm) in many places. As for how long, I don't think I've seen any consistency.

Coming from what I’ve seen at Mosport and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, it’s enough. Also depends on what material(s) the curbing is made of and how the designers want the drivers to interact with them.

I think the bolt-in ones that Formula E uses for its street circuits would be a good starting point to look at though. On the other hand, Yas Marina would be a good place for measurements.
